My mom has been at Twining [Village] for the past 4 years and my overall experience has been very positive. Twining’s leadership is always first to recognize each stage of my mom’s rapid decline and is very accommodating and nurturing with the family as we acclimated to each decline. I had a long history of working at Diakon; the last 11 years of my career included preparing skilled nursing and personal care facilities for annual Department of Health surveys.

Based on this history, I knew the facility and Personal Care Administrator Charlene Fisher. I had knowledge of her philosophy in providing care and services for the residents of the Buffalo Valley personal care center. Because of this, we chose personal care at Buffalo Valley for our dear mother. Charlene leads by example; the example she sets is focused on treating all with kindness and compassion. Charlene pays attention to detail and takes the necessary steps to ensure both residents and family members are treated with dignity and respect. 

I would be remiss not to mention the long-time dedication of Shirley Franquet, activities coordinator, who goes above and beyond expectations to provide planned programming to enhance the quality of life for residents. The meals served to residents are prepared not only to meet the nutritional needs of the residents, but also cater to the largely "Pennsylvania Dutch" clientele residing there. Mother thoroughly enjoys her meals! All staff members are warm, welcoming and have given my sisters and me great peace of mind that our mother is well cared for and loved. Thank you!

When my mother was to be released from the hospital and we weren’t sure where she would go, the Ohesson staff assured us, “We will make a place for her.”

We were pleased because Ohesson is near us. She has been in three different placements here and each move has been made because staff recognized that she needed more care. I have complimented the staff at all the different levels.

Now that she is in Memory Care, she has more cohesive days. All of her needs are being met. I take my hat off to the staff, to their training and experience and their helpfulness.

My parents have been residents there for five years and it has been a blessing. Healthy lifestyle with good nutritious food on the meal plan and help is just a click away with the 24-hour emergency response buttons in each cottage. Thank you for caring for my parents so well.

Mom has been living at Frey Village for nearly two years now and it has been nothing short of a miracle, the turn-around she has made from her previous residence in an "assisted living" location. The staff at Frey Village are absolutely wonderful and amazing people who take their jobs seriously and truly care for the residents. Mom is loving life now and so much happier at Frey.
