Gourmet Cooking Sushi Rolls

Join us as our talented chef from FLIK will help you become better acquainted with this marvelous, artistically pleasing Japanese cuisine. Rolled sushi––known as maki––is an increasingly popular Japanese dish. The ingredients (usually seafood and vegetables) are combined with vinegared rice and rolled into pressed seaweed paper called nori, which is sliced into circular-shaped pieces and dipped in sauce. Contrary to popular perception, sushi is actually not raw fish, which is known as sashimi. Sashimi is sometimes used, but this is not always the case. We will be making California vegetable rolls with sesame seeds, cucumber, carrot, and red peppers & sesame seared
tuna served over daikon radish and micro water cress, finished with Asian Vinaigrette.
